It was great fun to perform my presentation, “Digital Expressions of Hip Hop Historians”. My August 4 presentation for the Austin ISD Social Studies department revolved around the economic idea of creative destruction and its connections with modern technology and hip hop. I presented modern digital methods to connect digital natives and digital immigrants to help promote interest and understanding of history among Generation Z students. Moreover, the presentation allowed educators indulge in the creative auditory, tactile, and linguistic activities so that they could implement them in their classrooms accordingly.
